The Adult Choir serves as the lead worship team for our Sunday morning services. The Choir is currently preparing for several special presentations of worship in the Spring of 2012. On January 22nd, they will combine with the Youth Choir to sing for Celebration Sunday. On April 1st, Palm Sunday, the Choir will be joined by guest soloist Adam Paul Williams to lead in worship. Easter Sunday, April 8th, will also be a special time of praise as the choir sings great anthems celebrating our Savior’s resurrection. The choir will close out the Spring calendar with the annual Gospel Sing Concert on May 27.
The Adult Choir performs a variety of musical styles from contemporary to Southern Gospel music. Membership is open to anyone college age and up. Musical training is not required, as rehearsals serve as “on-the-job-training.” The choir has performed at the Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, and has sung for the National Prayer Luncheon at Fort Sill. Every year, the choir presents a Christmas program, Easter program, and “Gospel Sing,” an evening of Southern Gospel music. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:45-8:00 pm. in the Choir Room. Childcare is provided for preschool thru fifth Grade.
